minecraft and other games have chats for a reason and yet they do not allow to talk to people on other servers, especially not to talk to people who play other games
parts of the message you see in the notification that steam pops up for you and that should mostly be enough to decide if it is worthy to respond and to respond via text message you have to interrupt your gameplay anyway, in any game, even minecraft.
The thing about the overlay is that its not dedicated to chat; there is a bunch of other stuff that pops up along with it. I was wondering if there was something to make it so I can easily respond to a message without going to another window.
Also, i'm aware of how minecraft and steams chat/pop up functions work and what I am and am not able to accomplish with them. I wanted to know if somebody had a way to alter it/ improve it for my own interests.
Why the hell they dont do the same for CHAT?
I'm deaf, i need chats ingame.
For chat, either you use your smart phone, or tablet to view you messages using Steam chat app, get a 2nd monitor where Steam chat can appear on, otherwise alt+tab see the message, or open overlay.
