They say "We believe in fixing it and not saying we will fix it or we did fix it" something like that.. so you will never hear from Valve abut things like that.. its how they work
So... basically they don't have time to tell you they are fixing it because they are fixing it.
Expect this thread to be "disappeared" soon.
It can also be there game in talking to the public.. as then you cant say "Valve your fix did not work" and you may say "Why is these not fixed yet" making them look smarter
Or you post in the wrong place or just moved it
Really? I've been following this topic closely, and I've counted at least three other threads talking about the recent outages that were straight out deleted by Community mods -- no indication that they were moved to another section or merged with a single thread.
If you can point me to where all those missing threads have gone, I'd love to see them.
EDIT: I'm not the only one who's noticed threads gone missing - http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/7/558754899455077128/
There first of all human and second they are community mods.. there users .. like me and you they do not work for Valve they work for the community to help us... to keep it clean.. and they do it on there own free time.. so i can understand why they stop merging treads
Even that maybe a mod will come and replay to it them self may be better
Good points, except for the fact that the mods do indeed work for Valve, they're just not getting paid for it. They are volunteer mods after all, but we should probably keep in mind that Valve chooses them, not the other way around.
It's all well and good that they may be deleting threads in the interest of keeping the forums clean, but that doesn't excuse the lack of information we've been seeing from Valve on the downtime problems. An official statement would be nice.
And i Will guess Valve dose not pick there mods with there love to Steam but the amount of help they give out... and the language they can talk, and i will have guess they even will have given it to the users to pick if that was more a pain then any thing else... as well as it will never work..
And really i am not really sure how they get pick as much as we know maybe mods pick new mods?
My limited understanding is that potential mods are sent invites by Valve staff based on community contributions and the amount of time they spend at the forums. Unfortunately, I don't think they're chosen for their impartiality.

I can understand it when there is a bit of a hickup, but Steam spread out over many servers. if 80% go down not related to maintenance a little message stating they are working on it and maybe, just maybe am indication how long it may take?
