DEADPOOL, WHERE IS IT?

i had to wait till after the hollidays had died down before i could leap headlong into my back log of games i need to get. and when i go to get DEADPOOL i find its not on steam.
i am very confused by this. its on my wishlist, but the links wont let me buy it.
so i do some research. bottom line LEGAL STUFF..BLAH BLAH BLAH.

now heres the problem. i am not concerned with ANYTHING that these people are talking about. what i am concerned with is i want to buy my game...and its not where it should be.
so who do i have to kick in the head to take my money so that i may get my game? no really. if i have to get it from some OTHER source i shouldn't have to ...CAUSE IT WAS HERE.
(yeah this is the demand side of supply and demand.)

its not the first time this had happened. city of heros went away even though we would like to try and keep playing it. i consoled myself with dungion fighter online...THEN THAT WENT AWAY. now i want the pc version of one of marvels better licences, and its not where it should be. if buying this is gonna be a problem. perhaps piracy would solve this.

so who do i need to email to demand this back on the store?

You would have to somehow convince Activision and Marvel to renew their licensing agreement. Good luck

A few of the usual key shops still have some keys left. They are obviously not cheap though.

Like it or not, it is down to the LEGAL thing.

Marvel, who own Deadpool didn't renew their agreement with Activision, so Activision aren't allowed to sell it... or ANY of their Marvel licensed games.

Theres a large thread on the game page http://steamcommunity.com/app/224060/discussions/ that is talking about it and where people can get it from. If places still have boxes on shelves that you can buy, great! If not... it's gone unless a new deal is made.

So deadpool isn't available anywhere? Or just through steam? I don't get this legal stuff sometimes. lol. I was gonna ask the samething til I seen this fellow ask,

Careful. Any discussion of piracy can get an account permanently banned form the Steam Discussions. Lets try to avoid that please.

As was pointed out, Dead Pool was removed due to licensing issues with the IP holder. This happened on January 1st, 2014. I too, wanted the game and now I can not.

Some may have a gift-able copy, if you ask in the game's trading forum, maybe someone will trade it to you (hopefully at a good price and not a markup).

Gorramit, Marvel should totally make a deal with Activision, I want Deadpool so freaking much, and alot of others, too. This would obviously gain them alot of money and also make the fans happy. So what's keeping 'em?

The issue is that Disney bought out Marvel and they didn't want to renew or they were charging way to much to do so.

May want to ask Disney the why on the matter.

Yeah, crap. I hate the fact that Disney bought Marvel. Not because I hate Disney (I don't), and I do know certain awesome things can come of it, but Disney is also limiting Marvel a crapton. They can't make Marvel Zombies, or a dark Punisher film and now... no Deadpool? Anyways, I sincerely hope Disney, Marvel and Activision can somehow resolve this.

It might be an old thread but just to inform that Deadpool is back on Steam ;) but Valve need to advertise it too as not many Steamers know that it has return.
