Cant add funds to steam with Visa electron?
Hey all, I use a Visa electron and I had a few questions.

Firstly, my card is activated for online use (confirmed as I had bought Ingame currency for the game Warframe twice last year)

Secondly, I have read people saying that you can just add the payment method as Visa and enter the card details.

Thirdly, http://prntscr.com/2voeky

Can anyone help me fix this? :(

They said that my credit card is activated for online purchases and that it should work.

Mm, I'll try that.
If you never connect Support before you will need to make a new account for it (support account not Steam Account) and also know that Support can take anything for 2 days to 2 weeks to replay... depending on the load there in...

But i do hope someone that knows what to do will bump in here to help you even before there replay will come but better to start in case that is what you need to do
Just a though to add to what I said on the other thread - are you trying to buy a game from a different country to that which your account/card originates from?

For example, you're now in the US, but your card/account is a British one.

I can say with certainty that it's pretty pointless contacting Steam Support, as that message clearly identifies the error is at the bank/provider end. Just to save you a bit of time messing around there.

Just as an additional thought - what country are you in anyway? It might be some strange foible where Electron ISN'T available although VISA is, contrary to what I've told you on the other thread.

Thanks for the reply, I am from India and I currently am in India. My card is also from India though it doesn't work.

Not a problem - that's what we're here for :)

As I said in the other thread, Electron NORMALLY uses the VISA system precisely, right down to them being all but unidentifiable as they now use the same card IDs (within your card number). However, some countries often have strange exceptions dependent on the banking rules and regs there. I wonder if that's the case here?

I honestly don't know what else to tell you here. The only other longshot I have is that you might want to check with your provider/bank that Steam isn't for some reason auto-blocked (I've come across that before with some users' cards).

Sorry I can't be of more help, but if I think of anything, I'll get back to you.

Thanks for this, I'll investigate this matter personally with my bank soon.
