Windows 10 wont update - Kernel Security Check Failure
ill go through the steps of installing windows 10 and it will all go smoothly up untill the part where windows 10 installs and has that blue loading ring.

It will copy all my files 100% then my pc will restart (as it said it would) then at about 6% for instalation and drivers (32 or 35% for the overall update) then it says ":( there was a problem" and it says search Kernal Security Check Failure for help and i did and it hasnt helped me yet so im asking you guys. what should i do? (plus i get an error in Windows Update c190018-300101 if that helps) Ive tryed going to Administrator Command Promt and typing "net stop wauserv" "net stop cryptserv" and some others and then doing "net start wauserv" and "net start cryptserv" followed by restarting my pc but that didnt help at all. I had my Norton antivirus scan my whole pc for viruses and it didnt find any (it scaned the ENTIRE pc). Right now i am thinking of defragmenting the drive or doing a disk check and hope that that helps but it probably wont. Like i said in the title, i am UPGRADING not doing a fresh install unless thats the only way for it to work id like to keep it at upgrade so i dont have to get all my stuff back.

Ive tried downloading windows 10 3 times now and i am getting impatient so can someone please help me?

I am using windows 7 HP 64 bit
Asus mobo
AMD A8-5600k processor
Radeon HD graphics

my windows 7 works just fine what do you mean
Try uninstalling all uninstallable drivers before initiating the upgrade process. Internet resources suggest that the most common reason for this error is having incompatible drivers installed.
Why do you want to downgrade to W10 from W7 anyway ?

Well if a mod sees it they may move it anyway so I was just trying to send you to the best place to get help...others here are good with helping too, but just saying...

As far as why not...search this forum for all the users saying they cannot run games in W10.

Update them after the upgrade process, less stuff to interfere with the installation. Also the installers will register driver settings for the new OS, not the old one.

How to do it? Open programs and features and uninstall all hardware related stuff there.

And ignore the many who are using W10 just fine, so are not posting in the forums about issues with Windows 10.

You should ask on the Windows 10 support forums in the Microsoft site. That is the better place to get support for the Windows 10 upgrade.

Here is a good place to start:
