Download Speed and Disc Usage
Hey guys,

Today is the first time that Steam shows me "Disc Usage" under my downloadspeed.Its 1,2 MB/s downloadspeed and between 2 and 4 MB/s DISC USAGE.
So what does it mean?

(I tried to find answers to this before posting but couldnt find anything thats satisfying ;P

the speed steam is writing/extracting the downloaded files to disk?!

dunno what is so complicated there.

Agreed, it only shows what happens currently. The only thing that changed is the visualization to make it less confusing compared to the Disk busy Icon.

right thx ;) so it has nothing to do with my downloadspeed?!

Not directly. Less download means less activity for your harddisk as it needs to process less data at the moment.
But generally harddrives are multiple times faster at reading/writing than you can download stuff.
