Steam verify credit card $2.94 charge, no refund
on July 27, 2015 I was charged two different amounts of $ that add up to $2.94 (don't want to post them here for security reasons) and I verified them about 30 minutes ago, July 29 and I haven't gotten my money back. I was able to verify my credit card and my trading cooldown from the marketplace has been lifted, as well as my verification being succesfull but I'm hoping this is just a verification process and not some attempt to take my money? I don't know steam I trust you guys, been with you for 7 years. Don't break that up on me.

banking shenanigans can take 3-5 work days. the money will come back, since it was never gone, it was a transaction on hold.

These are called temporary authorizations.

There will be no refund simply because Steam does NOT have that $2.94 to begin with.

The $2.94 is merely "unavailable" from your available credit.

Your bank determines when to release the funds.

Only charges that settle/post to your credit card are changes where Steam gets money.

Do not worry...

Well it's been 4 days now since the transaction has been on my bank account and it hasn't returned yet.. I hope this doesn't take longer than a week

"The authorizations will be removed from your credit card statement in 5-10 business days, whether you verified them or not."

Been almost 3 months for me, but still haven't gotten back my money. The verification took a bit over $10 too. It was a gift card, but there were all the restrictions on the Market and stuff if I didn't verify, so I did. Do gift cards not get the refund?
