Jay Shaw#6315 (discord) is a true VALVE admin or a scammer ?
OmegaEv*PI#6037 said he mistakenly reported me. And redirected me to Jay. Sure he showed me a few things of proof of identity But after I posted a few screenshots about myself, he later said to log out so he can use a steam check program and it made me begin to doubt. because he asked to give me the link in the email i received about "Please click the link below to recover your Steam login credentials:
RESUME RECOVERY
If you are not trying to recover your Steam login credentials from a computer located in Misamis Oriental, Philippines, please ignore this email. It is possible that another user entered their login information incorrectly.
Cheers,

Here is the later part of conversation of "Jay":

Jay Shaw — Today at 7:16 PM
Let me know if you already logged out your Steam Application so that I can be able to proceed to the Steam Account Validation Program.

Tsuru55 — Today at 7:18 PM

Jay Shaw — Today at 7:19 PM
Go to your email check the email from steam support click the resume recovery then copy the link above and send it here

Tsuru55 — Today at 7:21 PM

[7:21 PM]
Bc isn't this step usually for other computers to being able to login to your account ?
[7:21 PM]
If i give you the link you will be able to log to my account.
[7:22 PM]
and bam i am stolen my account.

Jay Shaw — Today at 7:22 PM
I need to so I can validate your account so I can remove the the pending report

Tsuru55 — Today at 7:23 PM
right now i am really not sure .........

the fact you need the link that will allow you to get my "login creditentials" is too dubious

Jay Shaw — Today at 7:23 PM

Tsuru55 — Today at 7:24 PM

what type of account info? why discord, why would he need you?

theres just so many red flags already.
Indeed. I am ashamed i was fooled at beginning.

Because 1)I am too kind/too naive (despite my age)
2) My brain was offline. Disease and other stuff, made my brain being quite problematic at working like a normal person often. Sometimes i am retarded sometimes i am mature/logical.
During this scam, i was retarded but kept a part of lucidity/cautiousness.

We know. A few minutes in photoshop can do many things.
Thx for the info. Never knew it was so "easy" for this kind of stuff. I hope it will make me more cautious in the future.

I feel saddened at the evilness in the world. But it's in human nature to be both goodness + evil.

4 things made 99% doubt it is scam.

1) Asking me to log out
2) Email recuperation thing. As someone that often used other computers, know that using this method can allow you to access an account from other computers/phones.
3) Him saying it's "This the only way sir", which scream ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to my brain
4) I googled and go to https://www.valvesoftware.com/en/people
and "Jay shaw" in section "Product design"

Well you're assessment is wrong.

Valve NEVER EVER contact you, not via discord, not any way.

You have ONE way of gettnig hold of them - if you make a support ticket, they respond. That's it.

So yes it absolutely IS a scam. You can absolutely rest assured that whatever some perosn says, and no matter how much they plead they're from Valve or are the King of the World, it's complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

That is why i am speechless of this scammer duo.

They made it so : I AM THE ONE, CONTACTING "staff/valve" (fake one)

Mainstream people's received warnings of scams are still at the LVL1 stade of [Staff/company never contact you first and never ask your infos. Never give infos] while scammers are already at LVL2 : [Fool you into contacting the company yourself but in fact it's an imposter and make you give them infos by using a roundabout method that won't alarm you because they don't ask the infos]. And lot of people are probably like me of not knowing how mega easy it is to fake really-good-proofs.

Seing evilness becoming better at being evil is really saddening. And feeling empathy for future victims.

Crazy analogy : it's like if Terrorists/Bombers stop bombing places but fool innocents into creating bombs that self-detonate at the places aimed by the bad guys.

If someone claims they reported you accidentally or falsely, you do not need to do anything to protect your account. These claims are always fake and only meant scam you. If someone did report your account falsely, you can rest assured that Steam disregards false reports.

Anyone claiming to be a Valve employee, Steam Support representative, or asking to verify your items for an investigation should be immediately reported

Yep.
OmegaEv*PI#6037 (faking being the user that wrongly reported)
Jay Shaw#6315 (being "fake staff)

[Replying J4MESOX4D]
Sadly i didn't see warning of steam before today of "People try to scam by faking falsely reporting you". Or maybe i forgot (<most likely this).
I got a crappy brain this recent years because of IRL problems. Often my brain is blank or i could near being misunderstood as having alzheimmer.

But also because my over-kindness/naivety being fooled by how "anxious" this guy seemed for wrongly reporting him.

I am like a character in a novel fooled by a bad guy that fake being pitiful or faking being kind. And after successfully becoming closer, do a heavy backstab.

I can be considered lucky among this bad luck bc i had a small dose of lucidity/cautiousness and dodging the last part of the scam/backstab.

It is a scam. All Valve employee profiles now have this warning at the top of their profiles warning users of the scam. https://imgur.com/a/w9KPY2c

ALSO.
IF VALVE CAN HEAR ME.
If you could post a @everyone to all users about this danger it could be REALLY USEFUL FOR ALL USERS. And probably future save lot of potential targeted people.

Bc this scammer duo was quite good at it.
This "Jay shaw". He could show a (probably fake) gif showing him having admin permissions with what seemed to be my steam account.
And a discord video call showing his "VALVE admin" steam account.

Also this first user seemed like a true anxious person feeling scared of me being wrongly banned.

lol you chose not to read those information in your 8 years on Steam.

Also you write about "IRL problems and feeling like a guy in a Novel".. well maybe stop being on the internet and get some help from people? it's obviously affecting your life and security on the digital world and probably also on the offline world.

Just like people can freely look up real IRS agent ID numbers, and call you and try to scam you with threats of legal action, since you still owe taxes.

A search of the information of course will show that the person is a real IRS agent, but you are currently not talking to that real agent. You are talking to someone that just freely looked up the information, and is counting on someone being foolish enough to fall for the "fear factor" of owing more taxes, and possibly going to jail in the USA.

8 years ago they didn't say : (caps for importance/not screaming) BE CAUTIOUS USERS ! NOW SCAMMERS BECAME BETTER AT SCAMMING ! THEY ARE ABLE TO CREATE FAKE VIDEOS/PROOFS AND USE ROUNDABOUT WAYS TO GET YOUR INFOS ! AND THEY WILL ACT LIKE A KIND DUDE THAT FEEL BAD FOR WRONGLY REPORTING YOU ! FAKE BEING A USER AND A STAFF.
8 years ago they just warned : True staffs never ask your true infos. END.
8 years ago we didn't have scammers that bothered to fake WHOLE videos just to scam you.
Or even if there was, mainstream warnings for the population against scammers never bothered to indicate it.

IRL problems = Schizophrenia + //////. And currently being helped.

Like a guy in a Novel = It was a figure a speech. It was not me thinking i am like a protagonist or a person in a series or that everything is fictive like the Matrix IP. I just insinuated that : "if some of you read novels (or series in general), you probably saw a few times a good guy helping a pitiful or weakened good guy but later backstabbed right bc it was trap from the beginning ? me that mocked this kind of characters before, now feel ashamed that i acted like one for this scammer"
^I swear i meant this and not being desillusional about feeling like a character of a novel.
The problem is that i was lazy to write this so long AND that in "writing mode" it's hard to tell the true meaning of stuff said bc the method of discussion is by words and not with the voice. The tone of the voice is something op to convey hidden meaning.

So unless you wrote your post trying to be helpful, i would like it if you stopped being so douche. -_-

Yep. Thx for telling me more about it.

AH !
Looks like i badly written the 4)

The true 4) = I saw Jay Shaw in the website is the section of "Product Design" which is one of multiple reasons that made understand it's a scam. Why the f a staff in product design is doing the job of a admin/client help. And even if this truly changed positions in the company, even though some company websites suck, i HIGHLY doubt (it's impossible) that VALVE is stupid like others to not modify a staff changing position in their website.

So basically i was retarded but kept a part of cautiousness/clarity.
Retarded bc my iq is probably in recent years. Retarded because i am too kind. Cautious because i thought it was a scam after a while and because the last steps were really too obvious it was a scam. Especially the "dude, i feel it is a scam, let me ask some other steam staffs to check it" and the scammer replying "This the only way sir".

So basically i am both ashamed but slightly proud (contradiction) that i was near scammed but dodged at the very last second.

-----------
Would be nice if i had money so i can give you guys "Reward / heartwarming". orz

you also seem to be stuck on the 8 years, what about 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 years or 6 months?

So unless you wrote your post trying to be helpful, I would like it if you stopped being so douche. -_-

so you can't handle your stuff in rl because of an sickness which is obvious as heck from your posts and I suggest you get some help is being a douche?

but you now what? I know that I'm not liked (or a douche) and you know what? I don't give a thing about it, not here to chase clout (is that how internet describes being a good person?). I state my view/opinion as I see it, thats what a Forum is for (til you get banned for random words lol)

I also didn't insult you. No, seeing your actual IRL problems through your posts and suggesting to get some IRL help (which you haven't mentioned til now) is actually being nice from me.
