I ripped of part of my steam gift card code. Any help ????
I submitted a request to steam support. does anyone know what happens after. has it happened to anyone ????

yeah thats what I did. Are they just going to send me back to the store or something or is there something they can do about it

They will add the denomination to your account in your stead if there's sufficient evidence for legitimacy.

interresting. thx so much man. if they want more i guess i will show them my receipt. is there a way to check if the card has been redeeemed from there perspective. like a specific code on the back. that will be all

lol. thanks. steam support answered me. this is what they said :

Thanks for reaching out to Steam Support.

Unfortunately, I am unable to distinguish the necessary information in the attached screenshot.

Please reply with a digital photo or scan of the *complete back of the card*, ensuring that all logos and serial numbers are clearly visible.

Which means that they want a clear scan and not picture so they can see the serial numbers. i think they will check if the card is valid or not to make sure im not scamming them

yeah i will scan it and send it to them. i dont have a scanner but i will go to the store today and scan my card. its only like 5 cents.

What about using the app „Microsoft Lens“ on your phone?

You can scan anything using your phone with that app.

Way back if i recall correctly then i bought steam card, the code was on the recipt bill from the store also as proof.

support just needs a decent photo, nothing more. examples are even shown

First time i used pictures they said it wasnt clear so i downloaded an app which scans stuff
and now im waiting for a reply. i hope they will refund me
