1000+ Ping?! :(

Whenever I play with my cousin, competetive, we always reach 200+ ping to 1000+ ping! We play side by side with our laptops right in front of our wifi! I dont know whats wrong, We live with 8 people ALL on electronics but i find it ridiculous if the connection is "Low" because others are using it at the same time. Whenever my cousin plays by himself, he has 20-100 ping! What? When we play together, we cant even move; so i think its rather my steam or latop... My laptop is only 1year old, It has 0 virises and I dont know whats wrong. I tried to reset my steam from the HELP section, but It didnt make my ping better. It always says "No Connection" on the bottom of steam too? my wifi is connected? then why does it keep saying that... Please someone help me, I cant play competetive or even Dmatch! :(

Fast download does not mean it responds fast. Do the speedtest and show the results.

KIEMON , this happens because when you play Competitve , you have chances to play on other countries' servers.Like if you are Romanian , like I am , if you play on an African Server , you can reach 1k ping very easy , because the distance is 10k KM.
To fix this you can get the app called , Matchmaking Server Picker.Search it on google.

If this is not your problem , it is from the Steam Community Servers.

Lol, here's the thing, even if you go inside the wifi router, Your internet speed won't increase.. High ping is caused due to two reasons, Slow Internet or faraway server.. We can rule away faraway server cuz you get 20~100 ping when only one person games. So this leads us to the fact that your internet is slow. So Imagine you have a 4MB connection (1MB=1024KB) and 8 people are using the internet at the same time.. Now each person uses about 500KB of your internet.. Now when your cousin starts using your internet, the value further decreases to 200KB, and that causes high ping.. So tell your cousin to bring her own usb wifi and play on that, otherwise, you'll have to deal with high ping..
