[Fallout 4] Console Command: [` or ¬ or ~] Key not working (SOLVED)
Fallout 4 Console Command Key Not Working (SOLVED)

Introduction:
Alright, so I've started playing Fallout 4. I've already done the main-quest. Now I just feel asthough I'd like to test my building abilities and such. So as in Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I hit the console command button, which on my keyboard is always: `. I saw then that it did not work, so I then tried the other keys that people have suggested; ~ and ¬, still nothing.

I have gone through tons of solutions from the old Fallout games where people couldn't open their consoles. Sadly, there are not many threads of Fallout 4 having this issue, yet I have the issue. If there is anyone out there who is having the same problem, please post, and yet if anyone knows the solution, it would be really helpful!

My Details:
  • SK8820 - IBM Keyboard PS/2 port (United Kingdom)
  • Windows 7 64 Bit
  • Intel Processor i5
  • nVidia GeForce Graphics Card (750 TI)

I've decided to throw a bunch of information there because people always ask "What are your computer's specs" and I'm like.. "You need to know that much for a keyboard button not working?"

What I've tried:
  • Making sure Fallout 4 is fully updated.
  • Verifying the games cache.
  • Adding 'bAllowConsole=1' to EVERY .ini file in the documents and steam directory.
  • I've sett the steam launch details to; -console
  • Pressed these 3 buttons whilst in game un-paused.; `¬~
  • I've updated my keyboard's drivers.
  • I've made sure my Keyboard is (UK) and also set my keyboard layout to: United Kingdom and United Kingdom Extended (Tried both)

  • I've given up and asked for help.

If anyone can help me with this problem, it would be much appreciated.

SOLVED Read Below
I have finally found the fix for myself!
- Try @ or ' on UK keyboards.
The key is located left of Hash(#), right of colon(:)

For me, as a german bloke, the "ö" key works for the console. Since the uk, germany and sweden (another guy who never tried "ö" key) are in the eu, it should work for you too since its the same layout i suppose.

I don't really have that key on my keyboard...
Yet would you suggest using (ALT+NUMPAD) to input it?

Simple solution: [CTRL]+[SHIFT] and it goes back to the original key.
