Every Big Sale... Your purchase has not been completed. The payment processor has reported an authorization failure. Please select a different payment method.
I'm having this error every big sale (summer, xmas, halloween) for several years already, trying multiple times a day. Seems like you don't care at all, no fix happened in the past years, not even a thread, twitter message or any news about it, you just ignore it. I buy 100ish games a year on Steam, almost every 3 days, but whenever it's sales I can't make any purchase with paypal.

And again, I got ignored like many others the past 6 years with this problem, gj Steam Support, as legendary as always, no ♥♥♥♥♥ given towards the community, just raking in money.

Yeah, you fully understand the point, this is a topic about PayPal, ofcourse I can use other methods child, but this is about PayPal and not a different method! :csgogun::wasted:

Read my topic properly, it says I buy a game every 3 days, it only doesn't work when it's a big sale. After the sale, like now, I can use paypal again. It's a serverside problem from Steam, and they probably can't fix it and therefor ignore all the ones with my problem and even deletes the topics without a reply. Google my problem and you'll see 1000's of topics without reply.

Or maybe it's a paypal side error during those sales as most people probably use Paypal to make purchases? Did it come to your mind or are you just here throwing accusations without evidence?

You shouldn't even reply with your knowledge, you probably aren't even 21+ yet and never used any payment method as you don't own any money... "Did it come to your mind" said the unexperienced F2P-gamer. Sigh.

Funny even how you actually think that buying games is one of the most used reasons people use PayPal, you really must be young. Yeah, a sale on Steam will make the Paypal servers crash... Lmao :')

Yeah mate, especially I own twice as much games as you do "kid", learn to properly use your brain then we'll talk. And if you had any PC knowledge and how networks actually work - you'd know that too many responses can prevent working of Paypal - google Ddos "smart" boy.

Damn OP, you don't have to be a ♥♥♥♥ to everyone about it. Seeing the way you're talking down to others you seem like a little kid yourself.

Ever since I started using Paypal on Steam (using for over a year now) I've yet to have an issue; but I am pretty sure it is because your Paypal account is not 100% verified if something like Steam is refusing it. Or Steam tries to use your Paypal at checkout and it is failing. I don't see how that is Steam's fault really.

However, when Steam last updated the WebUI (around the time they added the Mobile Authentication features) my purchasing at that point became problem through Steam via Paypal for whatever reasons. So I removed the stored Paypal from Steam > Account Details and then later on tried choosing Paypal option again and re-logging in at Steam checkout for Paypal and then now it has worked again ever since.

So, worth a try I guess.

Finally, someone experienced with knowledge giving me a proper answer (unlike some younger folks here saying some random stuff that does not make any sense at all), thanks. I hope it'll work next big Steam Sale.

I'm a 28 year old network specialist for Belgium's biggest internetprovider. Smart boy. DDOS? Wauw. My mind is blown. Any more stupid stuff to add to the conversation? Also, you think Steam is the only platform? I was gaming 'Online' 13 years before Steam Beta even existed in 2003.
28 years old? Then you're just a pup. Internet provider specialist? Maybe trough handicapped program you got chosen because not though knowledge :steamsalty:
