Steam Mobile Authenticator wont send me the SMS with the code.
I followed every single step. I put my phone number, since I'm from Argentina, Buenos Aires, it's +54 11xxxxxxxx but I don't recieve the steam SMS with the code. Is there something I'm doing wrong? How do I fix this? I've seen some people having the same problem already. I sent an email to the support this morning, but no response... HELP, I CANT TRADE D:

You are not alone with this problem, seems that it isn't working right now.
Wait an hour or two and try again then.

I mean, I've been trying since before it was necessary for trades and it wouldnt work either. My brother did it like 2 days ago and it worked for him :/

Oh, sorry. I misread.
The other guy got codes but the codes didn't work. This is different, waiting won't help here probably.
If you don't get a text then something is wrong with the number probably or the country code.
Try sending sms to your phone to make sure it is working.
Maybe ask your brother for help and see if he did something differently.

Okay, I asked my brother and a friend taht could do it and they told me to put +54 011xxxxxxxx instead of the one I put before. But I tried that as well and it didn't work. I don't know what to do :(

Check if the time and date are correct on your smartphones.

If you use any kind of 'free' sms service its probably not going to work

Look under mobile numbers.
If you are unsure what number someone must use to send a text to you from USA then you should ask your phone company. It seems the number system is not what you think it is.

I'm having a different problem. It says the code it sent me had an "error". This is fun.

But my brother and a friend put his number just like I'm putting it and it worked for them :'(

your mobile number system has some awkward regional code, the "15" in the wikipedia article. and providers give out the number that way and forget to tell you about that this has to be modified if someone from another country wants to call you.

maybe your brother and your friend just had the correct number for inbound calls.

For example, to call mobile number
(223) (15) (123-4567) // areacode prefix number // prefix = 15

(in Mar del Plata) from outside Argentina, the dialling sequence is:
(+54) (9) (223) (123-4567) // countrycode prefix areacode number // prefix = 9

change your number for requesting the 2 factor sms based on this pattern.

comparing numbers with your friend might also help detecting problems with the number you are using. there is not much else we can do, getting local help would be probably a better solution.
