We're releasing a major update to how we handle requests for refunds for purchases on Steam. We hope this will give you more confidence in trying out titles that you're less certain about.

Pity i can't request refund on games i've had for ages and have less than 2 hours on.

I like that you are finally offering refunds but i think the playtime should be extended to 3 or 4 hours, you might not run into problems in the first 2 hours of play. It also took me a long time to get the original Max Payne games to work and would show that i was playing the game even though it didn't actually open the game in a new window, so if i hadn't been trying to fix it i might not have known i was still technically in the game even though i couldn't play it.

This, I like to actually explore the game not just spawn in an immediately alt f4 out. Wish I could refund DayZ but I'm at six hours so Steam has smited me with this error. Pro tip do not buy DayZ stand alone EVER.

DOTA2 ARMORY BUGG! HELP PLEASE!

Everytime i open my Dota2. i only have 6pages. The Default is 12 pages.

-Every time i open my dota2 my inventory is FULL because it only have 6 pages that suppose to be 16pages because i use 1 armory expander.

-I have to buy any item in the market so that my 16 pages will return. but it always come back to 6pages again. its getting ridiculous.

HELP PLEASE. Whats with this inventory thingy. i already spent $25 on this account. why is it still lock?

I think it's kind of stupid that you can't refund old games that you got before this became a thing. I have a few bad games that I haven't played for even an hour..but I can't return it. I understand the certain play limit, but not how long it can be before you decide to refund it. It's not like it gathers dust when you don't play it.

I bought Just Cause 2 a year ago and didn't really care for it since it lagged a lot. The game just wasn't really my jam. Only played it for about 40 minutes and I was done trying to play it. But whatever I guess. I have a keyboard and I disapprove of something. So I guess that entitles me to rant about it online.

You kind of can. You can request a refund on a purchase up to 6 months old and they might grant or deny them on case by case basis. You're pretty much guaranteed a refund if it is the 2 weeks/2hour time frame

This is so unfair i bought games in 2013 and since you couldnt refund them back then they wont allow you to get a refund now i think the refund 2 hr gametime and for how ever long should go for the games that were purchest after but the games that were bought before this update should be allowed to be refunded when ever because its unfair if the old people cant refund their old games

That's a bit too far. You bought those games knowing there was a no refund policy. What if your boss suddenly implemented this policy and allowed customers that complained about your work to get a refund out of your pay? Would you be fine if your boss allowed customers from years ago to now get refunds from your work Would you think the policy is fair if customers could retroactively do it for work you did one, three, five, or 10 years ago especially as the policy did not exist back then when you were hired and throughout the period you did the work?Not to even mention that that money may have already been spent on employee wages, resources, etc..
