I have over 1,000 gems, and Steam wont let me pack them into a sack. Yes, Steam, you make perfect sense.

It's a problem that started when Steam made items bought from the market, or crafted from items bought from the market, untradeable for 7 days. Each stack represents gems that became tradeable at a different time. The only solution I know of is to trade them to an alt account or trusted friend, then back again, causing them to stack. If you trade with a friend, only trade for an equal number of gems.

steam has problems to detect multiple stacks.

trade them all to an alt account or a friend and back again. that will restack them .. all stacks of course have to be tradeable for that.

Thanks, guys. I'll probably make an alternate account and do it that way- can't really trust any of my friends. :p

Just two quick notes — your new account will be limited, and unable to trade. Your account will also need to wait 15 days for Steam Guard. This is why I suggest trading gems in equal numbers, as they cannot steal anything from you. Even if they keep your gems, you keep their equal number of gems.

Eh, I'll figure it out. I'm not in any hurry to get my inventory organized, not really my main concern right now. Thanks for your help!
