Steam Downloading Empty Folder?

Bought a game I’ve been waiting months for. Every time I go to download the game - it downloads an empty folder. No program at all. I’ve tried everything and I’m at a loss

First off, has the game been released yet? If it hasn't then that might be why. Check the actual date and time of release (and remember it's SEATTLE time).

Also, check your antivurs suite to make sure it's not quarantining anything steam or game related. If it is, make exceptions for it.

Thank you for the reply! The game is released, yes! I’m on Mac, and I don’t believe I have an anti virus software. Unless Mac comes with one pre installed? I checked to make sure it was compatible as well! I have verified the game files, restarted and updated my computer, uninstalled and re installed many times!

There’s just no program in the folder. When I go to redownload and install steam says it’s a 0byte download. Like it just doesn’t exist?

But the game is popular and played. It’s echos of the plum grove and it’s been out for agggges.

Is the game compatible with MAC PC's? Did you double check the store page to make sure? Maybe it has to do with a compatibility issue. If that is not the case, like Queen_Tes said, could be your antivirus program auto blocking it.

I had trouble with one game called might gun volt that made a false antivirus block on it, and added to my allow list, and that let me play it. You could add game to allow list on your antivirus program. I also informed my antivirus developer that it was a false positive on a forum that has a board specific for reporting false positives.

Looks like it is compatible with mas os. Id check your antivirus quarantine folder, since it is most likely your antivirus messing with it.

Most pc's have one pre-installed. I know nothing about macs. I suggest asking on the hardware forum about it.
