You can tell him that: if he still wants to trade, he can send you a Trade Offer instead.
The scam is he'll make a last second change to the trade, then quickly accept, hoping you won't notice his items changing when you do the final acceptance.
Shouldn't that clear your checkbox too?
Just always double check the trade
ive been trading with this user for a few times n didnt think much to it till recently last night about asking a friend about adding to discuss. wich now i realised that they were a scammer. (checked their last trade post on the official game on disc and its a 2month old post mind you)
getting to the point. i declined the offer because steam was being funky. i sent them a trade offer only that after the trade was accepted the steam warnings poped up saying suspicious trade, i did report the user after finding out that they were flagged for scamming and realised their actions were sketchy.
that being said i cant join the game servers since that trade but all the others work fine - could be a coincidence of it being steam but idk..
Now having to realise i traded with a scammer im all rilled up going oh ♥♥♥♥.. and now im all paranoid. but i would really appreciate if i also could get an answer to - am i just paranoid or im at risk - 1st time encountering a scam throughout my exp of trading..
trading is just trading.
and you were logging in into a fake Steam website, which can be avoided by common sense.
i ususally say that, just because i am paranoid does not mean that they are not after me
better to be on the paranoid side than the i got scammed side
