Any way to schedule downloading of games?
As the title says, I want to schedule a download for a game for 11PM tonight. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance c:

Scheduling isn't actually in steam but you can just cancel the download and then start it at 11pm. Thats the only option.

Ok, bit disappointing to hear that but thanks.

You can set Steam to only download between a certain time period (e.g. 11 to 3), then start a download, and it should automatically start at the time you set.

In Settings, under downloads. I'm not sure, however, if it's restriced to auto-updates or if it works for all downloads.

All i know about auto updates is that you can turn it off or on fir any game.

It says auto-updating though, not downloading.

start downloads, restart steam. any unfinished download should be an update then.

Since when is auto-updating done without downloading?

You should request this in Suggestions / Ideas It would be a really useful feature considering the bandwidth constraints of some ISPs. For example: Some will throttle your bandwidth if you download excessively during peak times.

Caution: The idea will of course be shot down in that forum. Shooting suggestions & ideas down seems to be a sport in the Suggestions / Ideas forum, but you never know, a Valve employee might see it and do something about it.
Posting a suggestion about something that's already implemented is stupid and it surelly will be shot down. Because it's alrady implemented.
