Steam refund "within 24 hours"

Basically I refunded a game on steam. the balance appeared in my steam wallet as pending as it does for everyone else. About 10 minutes after it got approved, I decided to check it by clicking my steam wallet. It said the money will be available within 24 hours, but I read that people were recieving their money after a week. Will this be the case even if it said it will refund me within 24 hours? I need to know because I want to buy something before the sale ends, and if it takes a week it will be too late. I need to know whether I should just add more funds to my sream wallet or just wait...

It can take up to a week but I have got refunds after the pending was posted in a couple days.

you are already refunded. the money just needs some time.

if a time is displayed then this time is mostly correct. so you will get your money within 24 hours.
