Ea account ( that i have no association with whatsoever )linked to my steam.
I purchased a copy of NFS Heat back in sep of 2022 but didn't actually play it till oct of 2023. I download the game and everything, and launched the game. A pop-up appeared that stated i was banned from playing in online servers. No idea why that was the case I decided to create an EA account and then proceeded to link it to my steam account. When i did an error message popped up saying my steam account was already linked to another ea account ( so*****@rambler.ru ). I have explained everything to EA support over 5 times now but they won't help because of 2 things.

1. They apparently cannot find my steam account
2. I can't provide "Proof of Ownership" for a hacked Ea account that I have no connections with what so ever.

Any suggestion what i should do?

You will need to deal with EA as you can only link it to one steam account and see if they can unlink the other account.

However be aware banned accounts cannot be unlinked to prevent abuse by making new ones to be able to cheat in the games again and again.

Make sure your steam account is not compromised as you should only be able to link accounts like EA when you use your steam linking feature.

Yea, I have the passwords changed on my steam and am still getting the option to link my steam
but again. Ea support won't really do much

Your Steam account is or was likely compromised. May still need to fix (some of) that; see e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/4511002214537687319/

But in any case you can at EA.com on the web login to a to a Steam-acount linked EA-account using only said linked Steam-account's credentials. Unlinkable crap, but choose to login on ea.com and pick the Steam-icon to login with your Steam account's credentials. You may be able to then change the email address and password (would in the case of Rockstar; would seeminfly not in the case of Ubisoft, ...)

Would not supposedly change much w.r.t. online bans, and see e.g. #1 for maybe not being able to unlink, but you'd in any case "have found your EA account" (i.e., the one that once got linked) for EA-support.
Why is your story here different from the latest one????

You bought the game is on 2023 based on your 8th jan 2024 thread and story

Yet this thread of yours is telling everyone you bought the game on jan 2024
Based on EA user agreement here

https://www.ea.com/legal/user-agreement

1) Sell, buy, share, trade or otherwise transfer or offer to transfer your EA Account, any personal access to EA Services, or any EA Content associated with your EA Account, including EA Virtual Currency and other Entitlements, either within an EA Service or on a third-party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA.
My advise to OP would be to ignore the above; seems to hold no relevance, and if you engage, this is just going to be a wasted Steam-thread once again.
A no-brainer lähetti viestin:
Can you explain the "they can not find my Steam account" problem a bit more in detail? Maybe post EXACTLY their wording on that, because I can see your account owns the game and has played it for 5.2 hours.

Did you check your purchase history and provided additional information for them, like the date you bought the game on Steam or did you buy a key from a hopefully legal seller and can provide that key and the purchase to them?

Since your point 2 is unsolvable you need to concentrate on point 1: Giving proof that this is your Steam account and it owns the game rightfully and then hopefully EA can go from there.

so support said:

"" Okay ,could you please check the correct name as presently unable to locate your steam linked to any EA account ""

and

"" I request you to kindly check with steam support once and confirm the user name and the email to which it is linked ""

also,i shared the proof of purchase and everything but still no luck

Thanks for the advice, i'll do that as well.
This story reminds me of another thread I read recently:

I wonder how common this is...

Certainly if we add in to these kinds of hijack-stories more mundane "forgotten credentials" and/or "inaccesible/expired registered email address" -- pretty damn common. Third-party accounts are a mess. In EA's case they at least as per my above reply offer Login-with-Steam on the account website that should help a bit, but f.e. Ubisoft would not without access to that .ru or otherwise inaccesible email address allow a change and therefore to regain the account.

And pretty much certainly they will in any case not lift the online ban from the EA-account which would (presumably) extend to any game on said EA-account and therefore on one's Steam account since you can't just throw away those games and rebuy on the same Steam account.

I'd starkly advise everyone just stop buying games with more than one account. Or use e.g. one "EA Steam account" and a "Ubisoft Steam account" and a "Rockstar Steam account" and a ... so that you can at least just throw away the Steam account when something happens to the third-party account and start a new one.

But yah. Just don't buy games with a third-party account on Steam. If you insist you can just buy directly on EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, ...

A no-brainer lähetti viestin:

Did you make sure ihey want the "user name" which is the name you use in login or the "profile name", which is the name on your profile and that you gave them the correct one?

If that is not the problem, then I am all out of ideas unfortunately.

So, i gave them my username, profilename and steam id all together. But they still cannot find any linked steam account with my details.
On OP's post history https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199063107058/posthistory/

In this thread which is on 8th jan 2024

https://steamcommunity.com/app/1262560/discussions/0/4038106323494508797/

He made the same complain like this thread

---------

This was what he wrote that time which i'm quoting below

Monsterman lähetti viestin:
I bought NFS heat and NFS most wanted around 4-6 months ago, but only recently decided to play it with a few of my friends. Upon launching the game I was met with a "you are banned" pop up. and when I tried to link my steam it would give me an error stating that my steam is already linked.

Steam support can't do anything because its a "external application linked" to my steam
EA support won't do anything as they state "unless the owner of the impostor account doesn't create a case we cannot unlink it from your steam"

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

---------

Are your going to imply i'm a liar????

I can tell the user ''yujah'' is calling me a liar based on his posts

p.s i don't care whether i get forum ban here at all

p.s but i investigate and check thoroughly before posting especially for this thread
