HOW DO I CHANGE MY STEAM ACCOUNT NAME???

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to change my steam account name. I've registred like 2 years ago and i dont quite like the name now. Is there any chance to change it? I know you can change the e-mail adress, but i haven't seen anywhere how, or if you can change the account name. It bothers me, because every time you sign in on new device, i have to use that name/nickname, i i'm worried, that i will forget it.

Unfortunately the Steam database wasn't designed with account name changes in mind. In fact, doing so could very easily break your account and cause you to lose access to all sorts of stuff (games, inventory, etc...).

This was something that needed to be fixed years ago. Before inventories, badges, and other databases were added to the system. It's gotten too big to change at this point.

Your SteamID and Steam Account Name can not be changed, even by Steam Support staff members. Your player name can be changed at any time in your Steam Community settings, under "Edit my SteamID page".

it's very unfortunate that you can't but even if you could possibly do it finding a steam name is hard cuz hundreds of people use steam in general
