Problem with wifi adaper 5ghz/2.4ghz

So i need help i buyed this wifi adapter that is 2.4 and 5 ghz 2.4 works fine but 5 ghz does not work i mean i didnt tried with diffrent device or router i share 5 ghz and 2.4 from a phone to pc "mobile data hotspot" i checked everything to see if my motherboard "asus b150m-c" supports 5 ghz reinstalled drivers from device ipv6 ipv4 is turned on everything seems fine in teory but 5g is not working didnt tried other wifies too but i dont know the passwords so is there a way i can fix this is problem coused bescuase of mobile data? Idk on google there is same answers everywhere so i dont rly know what can i do here but i hope someone out there can help me with this..MOTHERBOARD ASUS B150MC... it goes with usb connection "adapter"

I dont know, check wifi router firmware maybe need a updater, and see if this is the case.

And we assume it actual works, make sure hotspot is turn off so pc actual dont jump to hotspot, this is know as forget old network, but its impossble to read if you did not do all right, or make classic mistake with thats what hotspot will do jump to nearest then it can,
happend to all, until you notice you are on wrong network.( aka router )

most never notice it , because home network cnt be reach at remote place , problem is that is your case, same as then i go to neigbour and help them my own network and it switch to it is the issue while i faulth find at other location, and well know trap by IT ppl.

just because it look like this dotn mean it is. ( check dhcp ppol and what mac or remote device is on, so many other ways to spli cable vs remote device on. )

im sorry if its complicated , but most IT ppl know them traps after so many years.

are you in boubt the turn off things so it dont do it. switch to other working wifi.
and watch the 169.254,x,x ( know as MS ip adr with no network or gateway or dhcp.

also check with cable so you know it work though cable atleast. to that router.

gl with it, or get help from a friend, sometime its better be 2 so you get fresh eye on case, never forget that is exatly what company do , then things aient doing what it should.


we also assume 5g netcard and its natecard and its driver is actual working.

i hardly disbelieve that hotspot on ios/android supports dual band wifi.
so it will use only one band and you may be able to change that in the phones settings for the hotspot function. if not, it will likely just autoselect based on the band of connecting decives or simply just use 2.4 as that is more supported.

Most will not recommend use a mobile as hotspot, we have seen game lag though mobil and delayed transmission depend on service on that mobil ISP,

To say all is bad i cant, but that player i encount , start hes conversion 2-3 sec later , and if you know how fast gameing is i will say worst piece of crap ever.

I guess its matter of if you are gamer and a team mate start voice chat with delayed speak, aient funny at all it make so many issue with fast games that require ½ sec acton and reaction.

gl with mobil crap, imo. i have seen it. and thats why i judge it like that , go ahead and see if you have same issue, all i can say.

i will even say worst the wifi with mobil in top of this. ( and we are back at game devs issue with so delayed players, that can cause out sync with rest of the players, on those game server )

keep in mind we do not know if all mobil user's and ISP network to it is so delayed , who is going to test for such. then most player have cable/fiber connections as first choise.

also raise the issue at game server, you could end up with game server wont accept such out of sync players some day. ( if voice is 2-3 sec deleayed say alot about it ) even then game do not have it. ( ppl use discord and other teamspeak ways to deal with Guild Raids )

this is not that simple. ( unless you also have notice some players is off key as we say today ) he was also slow to change zone, ) things has game issue here.
