It's 2021, people are willingly putting microphones in their homes so that corporations can find ways to sell them more crap.

IMHO not. Voicing commands takes longer, than typing/mousing them so voice assistants are a waste of time.

NO

I've never used it. I go out of my way to disable it on first boot installs.

there are certainly users for it.

if you ever experienced a blind person using a windows computer, you would understand why every option more they have helps.
not just for disabilities, also non-tech people, many elders may find it easier to get into the "computer thing".
cortana is just a bit ... "incapable" compared to other assistant but you certainly can manage your life with it, with just voice commands.

no, i do not use cortana.

Cortana is like nearly all other surveillance systems a "she". Its 2021 and writing the correct pronounce is very very very very very important, it can be taken as offensive by Cortana and thats something you don't want to happen.

For fine for basic stuff; keep the commands short and direct.

Depending on your accent it can take a while to "learn" your voice and you'll have to run the voice tutor program a few times. It's nowhere near as good as Google (whatever that's called) or Siri, but it gets the job done.

It's up to you if you consider it be useful or not.

I think voice commands can be useful, as I can say something while typing on another device such as my phone, or whatever. But me personally I barely use voice commands other than spelling check sometimes.

Anyways no one can give you a definitive answer as this is more of an opinion really. That like asking, should I take my bike to work, or drive to work, of that helps you understand what you're asking.
