just did a speed test for xfinity i have 32ping, download speed avg: 6.15 Mbps (peak 7.4)........upload speed avg: 11.99 (peak 12.20)
like i said usually on steam im at 5-7 Mbps
An 1 Gbps connection would be 1000 mbps in that test , not 6,15. You dont even have 1% of a Gbps connection.
Think of it like water going down a drain. The drainpipe might wide enough for 1 litre of water to pass through per second, but that doesn't mean that your faucet will output 1 litre of water per second. In this analogy, the drainpipe would be the upper limit imposed by hardware, while the faucet would represent the actual limit imposed by your ISP.
