Transfer game between accounts
Hi!
I've recently got printed key to game as birthday gift. I've entered it and installed game, however I've noticed that logged-in account was my sisters account, because sometimes she uses my PC to play games which she can't play on her laptop. Is there any way to transfer this game to my account?

So you have had this issue on other services too? Or on what do you base this?

If that's the case, why do you keep doing it then?

Point is, the issue is the same on every other service. If you activate a key on account A, it gets tied on account A. It's not like I get a "Gift this product to another account" if I redeem a CD-key on Origin for example.

Unless you're saying their customer service allows transferring of games between accounts upon contact?

Which gaming service allows the transfer of licenses?

You can try contacting support if the game hasn't been played or installed, but don't hold your breath on it.

Yes, exactly. On Origin all you have to do is contact their support. There is no problem with transfer a game to another account or even merging two accounts.
Some time ago they converted all EA accounts to Origin accounts. I had few old games on EA account and rest of them on Origin account and I just simply wrote to Origin help and with no problem all games from the old account was transfered to new Origin account.

You know EA is an different Company than Valve right?, just because EA did that doesn't mean Valve (or any other Companies) will do it also.

needlessly to say that this is not the general case, this will only be done for titles released and published under the flag of electronic arts and needlessly to say that ~420 of ~560 games on origin are officially published by electronic arts. needlessly to say they are the david in this david and goliath situation and they have to do random crap in order to impress the audience.

i am pretty sure if a game is involved that is not published by ea, they will mostly decline even account merging because it is generally forbidden by law to alter license conditions of the copyright owner. in case of Steam, Valve does not own the copyright for ~7750 of the ~7800 games on Steam.
