working headphones, no sound in Dota2 but sound in other games

headphones are working with youtube and some of my games, can't figure out why dota is muted, whoever solves my problem gets an item that I can get for <.38c

nothings muted, thought that would fix it but its still goofy.

Have you tried restarting your PC? Also, make sure you have the latest drivers installed.

Try these parameters to see if they can fix your issue.

-nod3d9ex
-high
-nomicsettings
-32bit

You can use them all at once, or use one at a time.

rebooted it and the problem persisted, also where do I type those?

Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.

Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.

dota yeah, other game (osu) is third party so I'll just ask on those forums.
