Paypal Chargback - Account Restricted
(Sorry for my bad english, im from israel:steamsad:)

Hey. Someone hacked my account, and i said goodbye to 150$. of course, i asked for a chargeback via paypal, and i got it. moving on, steam alerted me and said that i need to bring the money back. i didnt do anything, and a few days later i got ANOTHER alert. long story short my account got restricted for 9 weeks. now this is some serieus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. cant i do anything about it? beacuse im f-ing inoccent.

the chargeback by yourself was fraud and now you are the one in legal trouble.

and the account is not restricted for 9 weeks. you have 9 weeks to contact steam support, then this suspension is permanent.

so, contact steam support.

If there is a weight of proof that you weren't responsible; Steam Support usually waives cases like these if the user didn't add the money themselves and were compromised at the time.

The fact your PayPal was used whilst you were allegedly 'hacked' and Steam want THEIR money back, suggests there is absolutely no proof that you were compromised at the time and on balance were looking to defraud Steam and then pretend you were 'hacked' in the hope of keeping items and retaining the money back at the same time.

You have 9 weeks to pay them the money back that you disputed or your account will be permanently suspended in the form it's restricted now.

As i said, im not from the US or UK... so my english is pretty bad.
But i am pretty sure this alert means that my account is restricted for 9 weeks and i dont need to get any money back. Here's the alert:

After the 9 weeks if you don't return the money the restriction becomes permanent. That's what it's telling you.

EDIT: It's not just your english though, that is a terribly worded message.

You need to reverse the chargeback. Then contact Steam support.

They told me to reverse the chargeback in paypal. i cant see any cases that are open.

Btw i just noticed but it takes about 40 seconds to get an answer <3
