Power Saving. Get the thing to shutdown after a certain period of inactivity. Say 30 minutes.
Although be warned, if you're doing this with a lappy on your bed, you might find that it wakes up if you brush the mouspad or something.
But it should help.
What I would suggest more is to be careful and maybe instead get a side table and use that as you REALLY don't want to have the laptop airflow compromised by bedding. It's a great way to kill it.
The problem is that when playing video it doesn't count as inactivity also it's not a lappy but a TV, I would never fall asleep with a lappy in a bed. All this is more for power saving reasons.
If it doesn't register as videos keep playing, I'm not sure what to suggest as I don't tend to mess around too mcuh these days with power saving.
Maybe try adjusting your habits a bit instead? Try preparing videos BEFORE you go to sleep with your own playlist so they actually do run out?
I often do this with listening to music while in bed. I'll set an ipod or minidisc player to play certain tracks and switch itself off after a certain time knowing I'll be asleep before then.
Windows only allows for a sleep or sleep type mode, not a complete off state.
You will need to go to "Edit Power Plan" or "Power Options" in windows.
This is the closest I could find, but not what you are asking for.

I highly suggest picking one thread, instead of spamming the same question in multiple forums.
I think I found a partial solution for now, "SleepTimer" you can set a countdown for idle time and every time you move your mouse or use the keyboard it resets also starts automatically with Windows only problem is that if force shutdown without confirmation but it will do for now.
Thank you for your suggestions friend!
