Best VPN Program to hide my IP during voice chat?
I'm afraid that people are still able to track my IP if i started a voice chat on steam or teamspeak or any voice communication program. Which one is the best VPN program i could use to hide my IP?

VPN's are again Steam terms of service and can get you banned

Really? Then what's the solution to prevent anyone from tracking my IP during voice chat?

i thought VPNs were only against the SSA/TOS *only* if you were using the VPN to bypass region restrictions and other such things. But if you used a VPN from the country/region you actually live in anyways it was okay?

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

i dunno, i guess it could be interpreted differently than i have. But i always took it to mean you just couldn't use one to "disguise the place of your residence". But so long as you were using a VPN/proxy etc that didn't disguise your approximate place of residence it was alright?

If you are trying to hide your IP using a VPN, then Steam will banish your account to the darkest regions of Hell. It would be considered against Steams ToS since you want to hide your IP

The reason I think valve dislike the fact of vpn use is due to security reasons and to the fact of bypassing the steam store to get cheaper games in a different currency.

you can use vpns perfectly fine, you are just not allowed to mask your country of residence with it. a general vpn forbiddance would be blatantly stupid, 90+% of all university campus/dorm connections use vpns.

Your IP address isn't that hard to find, and I wouldn't recommend basing security around obscurity. That being said, while far from a perfect solution, you could use Network Address Translation to make it more difficult to see your private IP address.

yeah, IkevV2 is actually the type of encryption that is high level that you cant use on steam due to it making it hard to see your location.
