In Japan, most of Steam user could not access to Steam after patched KB4551762

Hi support and admin.
In Japan, most of Steam user could not access to Steam and Steam games after Windows Updated with KB4551762.
In my case and some steam user got fixed after uninstalled KB4551762 once and reboot.
This issue is very critical for Japanese steam user cause they cannot play any steam game by this issue.
You can see soooooo many this issue tweet at Twitter in Japan.
Please search "steam 接続"(meaning connection) or "steam ログイン"(meaning login) at twitter.
You gonna see issue evidence and feedback for this issue in Japanese.
Could you please get fix it ASAP?

I have other Asia country friends, Korea, Thailand, Sing, HK, they have no issue at all.

Steam can't fix bad Windows patches... MS can. This sounds like a MS issue to address.

I tweeted this yesterday and so many feedback and complaining for Windows Update and Steam.
I am not sure this issue coming from KB4551762 or not. but most feedback are fixing by this workaround.

I know it's depends on MS. Valve can fix it by some patched at Steam Launcher I guess.
I don't know Valve believe me or not. I don't know what is true issue for this.
Volve gonna lost opportunities and credibility in Japan if they missing this feedback.
I like Steam. Hopefully get fix it soon.

please check or ask someone with the issue if changing the IME language to English while logging in makes a difference.

Well Valve can't do anything about people's irrational and unreasonable expectations. If not this, then the next thing they're not responsible for. At some point Valve, and people in general can only concern themselves with things they can control.

Depending on the scope of the issue, yes Valve could potentially patch the Steam client. You have to be careful in setting those precedents though. Valve doesn't want to be on the hook for every MS caused error after all.

If it's not all MS'es issue then sure, Valve should fix their end. It's possible that the patch coupled with a recent Steam client update could be at work. But if the issue can be resolved by removing a certain update and unless there's an argument why Valve should change their client to accommodate that update, initially it would seem to be a MS issue.

I am also live in japan, However, I can not connect the steam server after a update provided by steam, not from MS, I have no idea with this..

After close the windows defender firewall, I can go access to steam, but as you know, It is not a good idea, since it was normal before that update..

Hope value could fix this problem as soon as possible
