How to insert an image or video in a typical Steam Post ?

I meant like if for instance one has an image saved on the pc and wanted to insert it to a Steam post. I've seen posts where you can see a preview smaller version of the image in the post before you click it to see the full size.

they have to be uploaded onto Steam as screenshots or artwork and than you link the ugc url (/filedetails/)

Copy the video link from youtube and paste into comment for example this is a video linlk url on youtube and it appears as a smallvideo in the comments box
