no access to steam account
i was playing a game when i decided to close steam and leave it running on the background, and for some reason my entire steam closed and i was like, okay ill just restart my game, and then it just randomly completely signed me out of my account which is the biggest issue because its been 1-2 years ever since i dont have access to my email on that steam account anymore, ive tried recovering it plenty of times but it never worked and i also couldnt change the email bc i needed to be able to get inside the old one, so i couldnt change my password, my email, and i could never sign out bc if i did it would do this, now i cant sign back in my account anymore because i dont remember my password and i cant try changing it since its asking me to go in my old email, i can show as much proof as you want that its my email.

Recovering Steam Account https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2347-qdfn-4366

And to help you sign-in: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithLogin
Note, you must be signed out of ALL Steam accounts to do this.

A step by step guide to the Recovery Process:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1126288560 Also, because this regularly comes up, you DO NOT need access to the email, phone or password currently tied to the hijacked account for this to work. Just pick the "I do not have access..." or a similar option when asked. JUST SCROLL DOWN.

After you get your account back, it would be a good idea to be more responsible with your account in the future - using an account knowing you have zero access to it if something happens is incredibly irresponsible. Once you lose access to an email address you either recover it or stop using everything tied to it.

why didn't you change it already 1-2 years ago then? because in order to change your email for your Steam account, you never needed access to the old one. that was probably just something you assumed.

follow this:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1126288560

the only things you need is the account name and proof of ownership.

Okay so i click on the '' step by step guide '' and its telling me '' If your account was hijacked, in most cases your email address on that account will have been changed. Steam will send you an email informing you about the change '' doesnt this mean that steam will send a specific email to me, but how am i supposed to enter that link if i cant login to my email in the first place?

You don't need access to the email, phone or password currently tied to your account for this to work. Just pick the "I do not have access..." or a similar option when asked.

You can skip locking the account, by the way.

If you didn't use a credit card just leave that blank and fill in what you can.
