Do the same as in countles threads about the literally same thing.

Deauthorize your API key, change your password, print a new list of backup codes & read up on phishing.

but how will I return inventory, he deleted my friends, took prime acc, I can't play mm, I don't have rank anymore, he deleted 100 videos from steam, deleted my name and profile picture

your account is compromised, likely phishing aka you logged in on a fake Steam login website.

please do the following steps in order to secure your account:
  1. Scan for malware (with whatever)
  2. Deauthorize all other devices
  3. Generate new backup codes
  4. Change your Steam account password, preferably from a known safe device.
  5. Revoke API key

nothing will be replaced/refunded/restored/returned

very stupid, so someone steals my inventory, no one is to blame, what about the fact that I enter money and buy at the market, how is it possible that I was left without a receipt order?? very stupid I say again, I will think about filing a lawsuit, why do they allow someone presents on their behalf as an administrator and originally created the appearance of their email and everything else, how could someone get into my account and do that even though I have guard on my mobile phone

you lost your money/stuff because you gave your account informaton away

steam used to give returns after scams like this, but it got abused

sorry it happnened, partner, but it is up to us to keep our acounts safe

I get that it's upsetting to have lost your items but in the nicest way possible, only you are to blame. You have taken an action that compromised access to your account leading to the loss of your items.

It's a difficult lesson that a lot of us learned a long time ago on other games, but account security is something you will now take a lot more seriously, and you'll hopefully not fall for scams in the future.

Inventing absurd fairy tales does not work here, it is you who entered the login data, including the steam guard code on third-party sites, do not blame Valve for YOUR mistakes, you are not the first chicken to fall into these traps in this forum. The responsibility for the account is yours.

You need to understand security as something to prevent this from happening.

Security is not the argument that makes resolving the aftermath easier.
It is to prevent aftermaths.
For this you need to understand the limits of said security, that depend on you.


Someone can get in your account if they know
account name
password
code.

Only you can provide all 3 to them. Steam does not have all 3. So who is actually gonna sued by your sue?

On the contrary, the one to blame would be yourself for not keeping your account properly secured which also includes user error. It is very doubtful that you will be filing a lawsuit.
