most of my games are global but, security is not a problem, i've know this person for almost 10 years and it would be a loss for him since i send him money every few paydays..
C. Your Account
When you complete Steam’s registration process, you create a Steam account ("Account"). Your Account may also include billing information you provide to Valve for the purchase of Subscriptions, Content and Services and Hardware. You may not reveal, share or otherwise allow others to use your password or Account except as otherwise specifically authorized by Valve. Any use of your Account with your login and/or password is deemed made by you and you are responsible for it and for the security of your computer system. Valve is not responsible for the use of your password and Account or for all of the communication and activity on Steam that results from use of your login name and password. You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account, nor may you sell, charge others for the right to use, or transfer any Subscriptions other than if and as expressly permitted by this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use) or as otherwise specifically permitted by Valve.
In a country where slave labor exists (pennies a day) please go on with your self, i do it mainly for his mother and so he can have ♥♥♥♥ that we have.
can i make it so he has a different password? to eliminate any chance of my info and login being hijacked from his computer through trjoans etc.. that is the only thing i dont trust :)
Doesn't matter that it exists, what matters is the situation *he* is in and what *his* opportunities are, neither of which I'm making assumptions on. That's like saying people in Africa are starving every time you don't finish your plate, get a grip.
Not possible since you're not supposed to be sharing accounts/account info to begin with. At best you can chance your pass after he/you activates family sharing.
Nowhere did I say he can't do that. And yeah, that did seem contradictory to his 'so poor' statement, but then perhaps water's more precious than computer/internet in Sri Lanka. It's quite unimaginable for me as a European but what do I know.
incorrect, this isnt about wealth disparity this is about sharing accounts. Thanks now stop making grandiose assumptions on very little information
The steam summer sale is just around the corner. This is a much better idea then risking your account via family share. Ultimately it is your account and your responsibility. If Valve sees you consistently logging in in two different countries, they can lock your account for a TOS violation. And if you family share and he uses a public computer you open yourself to VAC bans.
My advice is go with Quint's idea and gift him some games when they are on sale. If the guy is so poor he doesn't have in door plumbing, i highly doubt hes going to throw them in back in your face.
