Philippines Premium account policy change?

So, in the Philippines we can load cash in denominations of P200,P400 and so on-
So upgrading my friends account with P200 was a no-brainer.

It worked fine, friends could be added, the steam community amrket could be used, etc- but after a few months steam decided that P200 wasn't $5. Now it says that the account only spent $4.19/$5 and premium functions like the community market and adding friends is now impossible.

Steam why'd you suddenly change your policy :(

So, other than buying an 81+ cent game, P200 would have to be loaded in right?

and then would community market use be locked for 30 days?

or is there a fix coming in soon? :(

Steam didn't change anything. Exchange rates fluctuate.

world economy decides that and Steam always uses daily exchange rates to calculate what you paid on Steam when you paid it and i know the currency market and 200 PHP was never 5 USD, the conversion rate never went under 40 the past 10 years.

so it is to assume that it was a bug that you got unlimited with 200php to begin with and please dont call it premium, it is simply "unlimited". at the same time, there should be nothing much to complain, you pay already 40% less on everything on the store on average.

you only need an unlimited account if you wanna use community features, market needs at least one purchase per year anyway to be useable.
