Steam cloud icons. What do they mean?
Hi guys,

What does each steam cloud icon mean that is in our game library? One looks like a cloud split in half and another has a question mark in it etc.

Thanks.

The cloud itself means the game supports Steam cloud. If the picture of the cloud is broken (it has a line going through it), you have disabled Steam cloud for that game.

your steam client does not know of the sync state of the cloud data. either because you disabled it or an error happened.

What if there is no cloud? Far cry 3 and Rainbow six siege dont have them and they wont start but all the others do.

That means Steam doesn't back up your saves for that game. Your saves are on your computer, and if you somehow accidentally delete them, they're gone.

If you can't launch the game, then that's not related to Steam cloud.
