Unable to install Football Manager 2016

I have tried twice to install FM16 on my laptop. After entering the product key, I get a message saying 'unable to install'. The only option after this is a buttoon to 'cancel installation,. Can anyone help please?

Hi habitualaction. When attemp'ting to install, a window pops up with the heading 'football mananger 2016 - install'. Below this, there are two ticked boxes, the first stating 'This game cannot be installed', with the second reading 'cancel installation'. I have tried to uncheck these boxes, however it seems they are locked. Any advice?

Processor - AMD A6-6310 APU; AMD Radeon R4 graphics; 1.8Ghz; 64 bit operating system, x64 processor; Running windows 10

Well, while that may not be a brilliant PC, it does meet the system requirements. That is kinda odd.

Could you take a screenshot of that error? I haven't seen that before.

I've just noticed, but your account does not own FM2016, only 2012 and 2014.

You may need to activate it first. There should be a CD Key in the case, look under the discholder as well.
You can enter that key by pressing "Add a Game" in the bottom left corner of the Steam client.
