Possible methods for getting STEAM GAMES on PS3

I've been looking for a way to get steam on my PS3 and i haven't found any thing except for the Portal 2 thing that i'm pretty sure that every one who is interested in this discussion knows about. But i haven't seen any thing on the internet about trying these methods.

U might be asking why someone would be interested in getting steam on a PS3 well here is some of the reasons why.

1) u want to play more demanding games at a descent frame rate like 30 fps but u cant get new parts for ur computer either cause u are old enough to get a job but cant/wont get a job

2) ur parents wont let u get a new computer or cheap but still exceptional computer parts

3) u want to play a game on the ps3 as a sentimental kind of thing even though consoles suck and Computers are the future


Any ways now to the ways u might be able to get steam on ur PS3. U can simply look up how to do these online but i suggest giving some though as to what some of these might do to ur system I haven't tried any of these methods yet and i will update this if i try one and it works but not if i try one and it fails cause Thomas Edison once said "i have not failed i have just found 100 ways that don't work. if some one leaves a comment down below with a method that works i'm not going to change anything cause people should read comments.


Turning ur PS3 into a computer

WARNING: Ok so i'm not sure that if u do this method that u will ever be able to play ur PS3 as it was when u took it out of the box so don't try it unless ur willing to risk it. of course u could try factory resetting it but there isn't any guarantee that it would work.

Try looking up ways to get windows 8 or a program on ur PS3 that will let u download steam. most of them say that u need a mouse and keyboard cause once u convert ur PS3 the controller wont work but there are programs that will let u use a PS3 controller on regular computers so...


Download Steam games onto a flash drive then onto the PS3

this seems to be one of the safer ways but also requires more effort because the tutorials on how to do this stuff can be confusing cause u need to redirect where ur steam games usually download and then u need to find out how to put them on the PS3 cause i'm pretty sure it might be the same thing as trying to put a PC disk into a console. or i don't know how disks really work.


Those are the only ways i can think of on how get steam games on ps3

i think there are way too many words for saying turn it into a computer or put games on a flash drive but im too lazy to redo it.

probably took a lot of time .... in which you could have done something else.

what you wanna do is not possible, you cannot run any PC game or software like Steam on your PS3.
