How do you check for freeware games you uninstalled?
I was deleting some purchased game because I'm gonna move steam soon to another harddrive but my usb flashdrive lacks space to fit all my steam app. I think I might have deleted several freeware game or two by accident.

Sadly once you uninstalled a freeware game it seems to remove from your library so you have no way of merely selecting the list to reinstall it again. My library now lists 11 games where as previously it was 13 games (and those two other games were freeware).

I can't remember the games title but I really want to play them soon. Can anyone help me with this? Does steam keep an install history for freeware games?

Also is there a way to permanently keep freeware games in your library even after uninstallation? Its annoying trying to try to remember the game as you look back for them (which I did when I uninstalled freewares before and reinstall in the past at least 5 times as I was managing HDD space)?

You could go here and search the site (ctrl+F) for "remove" to see any free games that is in your play history but isn't in your library.

https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

You can also see all games you have played here, unless you removed them: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198300338648/games/

Steam DB can also show all your play history and sort them by price, probably the easiest way: https://steamdb.info/calculator/76561198300338648/

everwhere a remove button is, is a free game.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I'm afraid it is NOT possible to find a free to play (or demo) game that was previously installed and then uninstalled which you don't keep in your library at the moment. The licences page only lists games that you paid for either for the main game or some DLC associated with the game.

For example I'm not able to find an arcade racing game (Gas Guzzlers Extreme) and which was previously installed as demo (free to play) then I had uninstalled, it longer appears either on library or account or profile, nowhere.

Start here. https://store.steampowered.com/parental/setmine
Search for Demo in the box.

Incorrect. I played the Loop Hero demo today, I uninstalled the game and then removed the license through teh Licenses page with the Remove button there.

The page linked by wuddih lists all F2P games and DLC for me, with a remove button for them.

There is a trick through Family View to find all other stuff, but I'm not exactly familiar with it. Edit: Post above me lists it.

Interesting as I "only" see my paid games (which is located in library as well) there, and of course no remove button (Licenses page). Note that I don't have any setting like Family or Parental control (for the member mentioned above).

For example I had installed Gas Guzzlers Extreme as free demo plenty years ago, then uninstalled it. Now I can't see that game and activity anywhere either on licenses page or on my profile.

Ypur profile - games - all. Free games disappear from library but not from this list.

Strange. This should work too:

You don't have to have it set up or even proceed beyond where the link puts you. It will show you all titles on your account regardless.

Do that for demos.

Where? No place to filter for demos. Licenses page "only" lists games that I paid, no demo games that I played and uninstalled as expected?

And my profile's games page does not list demo games, neither. Strange.

I remember the game name well though (and I also remember time I played, many years ago).

Try it with some new free game or demo. No need to really install it - press "Play" on the store page and cancel the downloading.

Long time ago Steam changed how it handles free games. Maybe things were different before that:

Or it was on another account.

It was rhetorical because there isn't a filter on that page for that.
Use the link I posted in post #4.

Yeah friend, I think it might be the case. It was many years ago. I can confirm again that the aforementioned game does appear "nowhere" on my profile including the suggested sections by participants on this thread. Steam might either have changed the policy or cleaned the very old demo games that have not been played again for many years (even though they're on sale now).

Thanks for the effort.

Note: I don't use any other account.

Note 2: Just made a recent research, plenty of users appear to have complained about the same problem on Reddit. They tell their ex-demo games do not appear on their accounts like mine, however it's very old information and supposed to be normal situation.
