Is there a place to download a backup (not through steam)

Hi there, I have Steam (obviously) and buy all my games so not looking to pirate anything here! My problem is that I play online with a Telkom LTE dongle which is on a 2GB contract. This is fine for gaming but will cost me a fortune to download games. I have just bought Fragmented (welcome to check my Games library) which is a few Gigs to download so this gets us to my question. Is there a way for one of my friends (with uncapped adsl that does not own this game) to download a backup folder for me which they can then put on a flash for me to restore from into Steam?

Only if they own the game can they download it for you and yes you can then transfer the files to your steam account and most of the download will be done. Youll have small updates that validate the files and stuff but it wont be much. Or you can log into your steam account on their pc/connection and download the games.

Yes I know this and it is usually not a problem because we tend to own most of the same games so I just get a backup from him and restore it into my Steam. As I say, in this case, they do not own the game also, I am the only one in our group wanting to test it out but due to my limited internet bundle do not want to spend more on buying data to download the entire game than what I paid for it on steam sale. That is why I am looking for a way/place that they can download a backup for me and put on a flash for me to restore into my games library on Steam.

Yeah I thought of that as well thank you BUT the problem is that they are playing on their PC the whole time so not too keen on doing that :(

I did read that and as I said the problem is that when they are logged into their Steam account to play games and logged into my account to download games they get a high ping so they do not want to do that as they are always gaming. Thus i need to find another way of getting the backup by getting someone to download it. My friends that only have Origin games and 10MB ADSL line offered to DL it for me if i can give them a link...I will have to make a plan to get my PC to one of them I guess and just DL it straight through Steam :(
