Change xbox one controller from player 1 to player 2

Everytime I get in a game my "xbox one" controller automatically goes into player 1, but I want to play with my friend on games like rocket league, portal2, etc. (him on keyboard/mouse and me on xbox one controller". But I can't find a way to put the controller as player 2 on PC. I've tried to find ways to fix this online but I can't find anything.

Anyone knows how to turn my xbox one controller to player 2 on PC but to keep keyboard and mouse as the first player?

Just keep the controller as player one, and then join in as the keyboard
