Triple monitor setup lags when playing fullscreen steam game on one monitor and a video on another.
Hello!
I've encountered an issue with my computer when i'm using three monitors, videos lag horribly on one screen while i am playing a steam game in full screen.

I've updated my Nvidida drivers and have tried setting google chromes priority to high but nothing works.

I'm on windows 10 (64 bit) and my specs are as follows:
(Name of my laptop GT80S 6QE TITAN SLI)
- 2x Nvidia 980m
- 24gb Raam
- 1x 256ssd
- 1x 1tb hdd
and the monitors i'm using are a benq and an hp (Both have the lagging issue)

Any and all help will be appreciated!

What's your CPU? It could most likely be that you're CPU is experiencing high core usage.

what kind of video?

You never specified how many cores your CPU has.

I was trying to watch the E3 livestream on youtube and it was lagging, i tried a normal youtube video (not live stream) and it still lagged.

Then that's definitly something to do with the CPU.

Youtube cannot lag due to "Dodgy Internet connection", that would cause it to buffer, but if it's frame stuttering, that's a software/hardware issue.

No it's definatley not youtube, the video lags but the audio is normal.

How many cores does your CPU have?

If you are running a game, and watching an HD video, that's most likely due to a low amount of cores.

That's definitly not the reason why, i've had Unreal Engine 4.10 and mirrors edge: catalyst Open while watching an HD video, and he's got a better GPU than me.

If you think the 980m is comparable to a desktop GTX 980, you're very much mistaken. Regardless, let's see what happens when OP disables GPU rendering in the browser before continuing to leap to hard and fast conclusions.

I tried disabling hardware accel but the problem still happened, i doubt that it's my GPU as i was able to do this at one point with a work around. I had to set google chrome's priority to high and it would work fine.

I checked my resource monitor when i ran Fallout 4 and had a video open and nothing was happening, it was mantaining normal levels all across the board. I also have 4 cores.

Please answer my questions so we can move on. What exact CPU do you have installed inside your machine currently?
Qwerty Jun 13, 2016 @ 1:05pm
What resolution are both your monitors?
