How do I retrieve my Steam password? I want to connect my Paradox and Steam accounts, but the Steam password I have saved is incorrect. I asked for the email to change my password and have yet to receive yet,.

if you want to login into any Steam website, use the correct Steam username and the correct Steam password. the same you use when you login into the Steam client. the same way you were able to write this comment, because you could not have done this without proper logging in into Steam.

check the URL bar before you login into Steam to prevent phishing, the only valid Steam URLs:

I don't know my password because I never wrote it down. I just automatically log in. Now I'm trying to put my Paradox and Steam accounts together and I can't do it because I don't know my Steam password. Please read what I wrote?

By e-mail you likely mean you tried resetting your password here?

If so, that's the only way without knowing your prior password. If you can't receive the e-mail, try whitelisting [e-mail] and checking all the filters.

You can't change the password without the prior password, and by the sounds of things he's trying to use an OpenID link on Paradox's website.

He could open up the said page on the client's internal browser (i.e. going to the said page while in Big Picture Mode, or in the in-game browser; that way he'd already be signed in on Steam.)

It wouldn't be bad practice for him to change the password though, so it's something he can actually use too.
