if you need other info.
restart steam as it requests.
check if it works then, if it does you probably can opt-out of the beta again.
if the issue persists, try to create the guide your normal webbrowser and check if that causes any errors.

can't even see the steam error code.
I've looked up the mac_alert error and I found 3 possible solutions: disable https scanning on my antivirus, update chrome, or set router MTU to 1400. I've tried all 3 and they haven't fixed the problem.
So problem solved by updating KCC or turning off Advanced Stream Detect in the KCC

glad it is just killer making networking more complicated then it should be.
for the other stuff that could have caused this my default solution would be: reinstall windows ;)
It worked for me. Just disable all of Killer Intelligence Center's actions then all problems are gone. TY
