What is that error message from exactly, if it is indeed an error message ?
Alright, it happens when I join a Garry's Mod server. When the map loads, game crashed and this pops up.
failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer: nVertexCount=(random number) ,nFirstVertex=(random number)

Noone answers there, and when i got my PC fixed i googled this for 10 hours.
So i came here for help.
What got "fixed" ?
I mean the whole pc burned down. Luckily nothing actually got changed but "SOMEHOW" a guy fixed it with idfk what and it magically works. seriously i have no idea how he did that.
I can only suggest that you make a thread in the Garry's mod fourm and ask about it if you can launch the game from your Steam library without crashes or other errors and at least start the game from Steam and then it only crashes when you join a server as you have described here.
Did you seriously look through all of those search results I have linked above ? There were 7 pages of results for the terms I used.

Yes, i actually did. And looking back on the crash files, it probably is a render problem.
