Can't change Steam Email from Gmail to other domain
Title may sound slightly inaccurate, but I want to change my Steam Email from Gmail to my own domain. When I do this, Steam says that my email was detected as either a throwaway or an otherwise invalid email.

.xyz is why. There are plenty of free and reliable emails out there. Choose one of them instead.

Note I siad "Spam filled TLD like xyz"

There's a reason why that's so cheap. Its because every spam provider on the planet uses it. Its why nearly every spam filter on the planet blacklists that entire TLD
This is a load of sh*t you can't judge a domain by TLD! Not okay from Steam I'm not happy about this you're eating too much sh*t now. I have a right to use my private domain email, why not ban all .com then? But why fair to block .xyz!?
No, its not because of the Top Level Domain. That is an absurd.conclusion.

The site needs to get trusted. To do this, the site needs to have existed for a while with the proper SSL encryption.

Steam uses Google Safebrowsing to determine of a site is safe, so ask Google Safebrowsing to check your own site to get it validated and trusting faster.

Google Safebrowsing still has the OPs site registered as unsafe:
Try to trick visitors into sharing personal info or downloading software
Google Safebrowsing blocks the site. That is why it doesn't work.
(The email cannot be checked because of the block, so steam finds it invalid.)

So OPs site has at most been live for 4 months, but this doesn't explain how long the pages existed on the site. Still, its more than enough for it to be detected valid if they set stuff up properly.

Anyway, yeah, old thread, but it contains false information.
The .xyz top level domain is owned by Cloudflare. Cloudflare is a trusted international company and one of Valve's partners. It wouldn't make any sense to block a TLD, especially not one belonging to one of Valve's partners.

Yeah, it ended up working immediately after I switched the TLD to .com instead of .xyz. I wanted to switch anyway, but I didn’t have enough justification until Steam decided to block it. I originally purchased the .xyz domain back in 2022-2023, but I purchased the .com domain roughly 4 months ago. My SSL certs have always been properly managed. A lot of non-trustworthy sites use .xyz TLDs, and it doesn’t help that everything I use that domain for is run through subdomains.
