a) uninterrupted first download.
b) interrupted first download.
c) update.
1) megabit (Mb) or megabit per second (Mbps, Mb/s), with a small or lowercase ‘b’, a data-rate unit used for download speeds advertised by ISPs and reported by on-line tools, equal to 10002 bits (b).
2) megabyte (MB) or megabyte per second (MBps, MB/s), with a capital or uppercase ‘B’, a data-rate unit used for file sizes and often in end-user software, equal to 10002 bytes (B).
About the other question: uninterrupted first download (I'd say interrupted but I uninstalled the game before it ended, deleted the cache and restarted to see whether or not the speed would show any improvement)
First you would want to diagnose that your disk speed is the issue. If it is, get a faster disk. If it's not, move on to the next thing to test.
That's because it is
Epic loads pretty much everything from the internet.
That means if the Epic store goes down, so does your library. How do I know? Because the Epic store went into a bit of a tizzy during the sale. Guess what didn't load. my library. Again not the store page, which is again annoying that you cannot default the opening of hte client to your library, but the library itself does not load if the Epic store is down.
But don't worry you can "Enable offline mode browsing" in the settings
Which you cant get to
Because the Epic store is down so the entire UI doesnt load........
Do this test
1) Launch the Epic client
2) Go to your network settings and disable your network adapter
3) go back to the epic client and try to load your library by clicking the "Library' button
Your library won't load. I fyou're lucky the sidebar QuickLaunch will still show 'something'
Note that you can't go to settings because the entire UI elements for that are *poof* gone. Since its under your username in the upper right, which is no longer there because you're not online.
I mean Steam's offline mode isn't perfect and may not get enabled when you need it, but even during steam sales when the store page is a smoking hole in the ground, at least your library loads properly and you can play games.
