Prices in Ukrainian Hryvnia are abysmal !
What is wrong with the prices for games in our region we have about 50% higher price than people in Russia, and we live much worse, average salary is at least twice lower, not to mention civil war going on. Please change price accordingly, i expected price at least 20% lower than Russian!

Prices for new AAA games is 20% of the montly salary :O

Yup! Ask the publishers of those games. They set the prices.
They set the prices based on steam reccomendation but they just converted our USD price into UAH, i was expecting something good to come from it, but what's the point of adding currency if nothing is changed? I hoped for a fair price for our people so they won't finally use price excuse to pirate games and support developers, but again steam as little effort as it could and just auto convert.
same thing happened to me , My Currency was in ($) and now its ukraine currency and i'm not from ukraine!!! , i can't get it back to ($) again
+1. Wanted to ask the same question.
Prices should be "halfed" as minimum.
Example: Justice 2 - in UAH 1200. = 46 USD !!!
1200 RUB = 22 USD!

WTF ? Still pointless to buy in steam, but I can easly buy from russian resellers, as most Ukrainians do.

I loved steam as a platform, i made many purcahses on it, i like to support dev's, but steam clearly don't like or care about it's customers, so i'll switch to other platforms and ways to get games if steam don't want ukrainian people to shop on their platform.

That is correct. You are no longer getting USD prices. You are getting your country's currency prices. Some games don't have their prices set yet. So, you have to wait for them to be set.

Please don't offtopic here, for your problem create new topic. It's the dscussion about unfair pricing for Ukraine region.
We have the same problem in israel since the conversion. Not a 50% spike in prices, but high enough to make us mad.
Many games became non-purchasable at all: there's neither price nor "Buy" button.

For other games US prices in USD were simply converted to UAH at a fixed rate USD = 26 UAH. Granted, this is a bit lower than current commercial exchange rate (which is around 26.7), so the games became 3% cheaper. YAY!

Eventually, it all comes down to the publishers' policies, so we just have to wait and see if they change the prices.

The conversion rate in israel per USD is 3.54 NIS for 1 USD. Steam uses 4 Nis. Mose of the games here had a price spike for like 10-22% compared to the price that was present in USD.
So we are lucky, hurray!
