I still cannot change my contact e-mail address on Steam
For days I have tried several times to change my contact e-mail address here on Steam.

Steam NEVER sends me a verification code to my new e-mail address.

I tried to contact Steam customer support several times. Every time I try to send the message I get the following response "We had trouble verifying your captcha, please try to complete the captcha again."

Steam NEVER gave me a captcha to be verified.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steam's captcha NEVER appears, which keeps me from contacting their support.

I have entered all of the information correctly, and Steam does absolutely NOTHING to correct this problem.

WHY WON'T STEAM CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?????????????????

HOW DO I CHANGE MY CONTACT E-MAIL ADDRESS???????????????

captcha:
if you try it in a webbrowser site elements need to be unblocked in firefox f.e. for the captcha to appear.
in client there can be caching errors. steam settings -> webbrowser -> delete cache.

steam can not do anything to fix it because the issue is on your end.

I have tried Firefox, Opera, and even Internet Explorer. I deleted the cookies and the cache.
NOTHING!!!!!!!

I checked on the internet, and this is an ongoing problem with Steam that they refuse to fix.

You win, Steam!!!!!!! I will NOT buy any more games from you. I will buy games from Rockstar, Ubisoft, GOG, even Epic Games, but not from you.

All of those companies will allow me to change my e-mail address, but not you , Steam.

You, win, Steam! You will not get any money from me, but your competitors will.

It's not steam. It's you. You have a computer that you don't know how to use, it seems.

Try launching the Steam Client itself. It's much easier there. And the caches wuddih referred to are for Steam Client. Not the Steam webpage in a regular browser. You clear the cookies and cache i Steam's internal webbrowser via the settings menu in the Client.

And "I checked on the Internet" means nothing. You honestly believe that everything and anything you see on the Internet is accurate and up-to-date?

Have you even read the FAQ page for how to change your email on Steam, and slowed down enough to actually follow the pretty simple instructions?

well clearly there is an issue IFIYGD as the issue is still ongoing for some people my friend added 2fa to his account and now actually cant get into it because it keeps telling him no matter what even on my computer that it cant verify the captcha and you cant use the "oh you clearly dont know how to use a computer" because changing my email address on steam whether its the website or the program works just fine for me but not for his account so its a steam issue clearly

Good job responding 2 years late when OP has obviously fixed the issue since they stopped posting on the thread.

Its not fixed its still happening to this day. Just happened to me. Says captcha failed, yet nothing popped up to be completed. it auto defaults to failing every single support request.
