I'm trying to connect my epic games account but my steam account is already connected to an epic games account that I don't know.

Here is how I fixed it Instead of logging in using your epic account Log in using your steam account When n you have finished logging in you will redirected to a site where you can make an epic account Continue with the process until the account is done Go to your new epic account settings then connections and unlink steam from this epic account Now log in into your main epic account and you should be able to link your account no problem

Not sure if it will work as I never tried, nor do I have an epic account, but you could always give it a try.

You may need to contact Epic about the issue as they have to associate it on their end. They are the ones using the Steam API after all.

There is also this: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/epic-accounts-c74/connect-accounts-c110/i-m-trying-to-connect-a-console-to-my-epic-games-account-why-did-i-get-an-error-message-saying-it-is-already-connected-to-an-epic-account-a3620

It is supposed to be the same process as for a Steam account. Seems to be similar to the process I quoted above.

you should know all your epic game accounts. did your steam account get stolen or hijacked? are you the one that created the steam account?

it had been a while ago but that was just to sell my games in packs via family share so i wouldn't think they would do much will epic games. i was the one who made it.

Sell your games? That sounds a bit fishy, if not to say illegal.

were you giving others access to your library in exchange for something? that sounds like an SSA violation (using the account for your business)

were you trying to sell your games and/or account?

as for the Epic account, you need to talk to epic support about it.

let me clarify, i got scammed out of my steam account and the scammer tried to sell my games.if he hypothetically had connected an epic games account to my steam account how would I get rid of that?

Selling games that have been licensed to an account is not an option. How would said scammer even have done that? And how would you know?

Epic is the only one that can assist you. they are the one that has to disconnect the account. steam has no idea what epic account is connected to your steam account. it just like other 3rd party accounts, you have to ask them to disconnect from a steam account.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
